As I get older, I’m constantly searching for ways to maintain a youthful appearance. I faithfully apply moisturizer to my face two times each day. I also regularly utilize a portable microdermabrasion system. However, despite my efforts, I’m starting to notice some undesirable fine lines around my mouth and under my eyes. Therefore, I may need to step up my plan. I know my available options are plentiful. For example, I could choose to inject collagen into my lips, get Botox injections, or undergo a chemical peel. On this blog, you will learn about the advantages of undergoing various cosmetic procedures.

While acne treatment can create incredible results in terms of helping you get rid of your acne, it can leave your face somewhat sensitive and exposed. This article will discuss 3 simple tips for caring for your skin while you are going through acne treatments.
Stay Out Of The Sun
Since your skin will be extra sensitive during your acne treatment, it is smart to stay out of the sun. You will be more prone to burn if you do get in the sun, and the heat on your face may be painful. If you find that you have to be in the sun for a certain activity or event, be sure to wear a sensitive skin sunscreen on your face if possible, and/or wear sunglasses and a hat to block your face from the sun as much as possible. Doing this will allow your skin to recover from your acne treatments, without causing you unnecessary discomfort and redness.
Keep Your Face Moisturized
Many acne treatments really dry out your face because they contain benzyl peroxide. While this chemical is great for treating the acne on your face, it can also effect your natural oil glands. To help offset this dryness, you should be sure to keep your face moisturized. Ask your dermatologist what moisturizer is safe and effective for you to use on your face, and use it as often as your face is looking or feeling dry. You can also put a more generous amount of this moisturizer on at night so that it can soak into your skin while you sleep. This will help you to make sure that you don't have peeling skin or skin the both looks and feels tight on your face.
Avoid Face Makeup
While you are going through an acne treatment, it is best to avoid putting any unnecessary products on your skin, including face makeup. Not only does face makeup clog your pores, and generally cause zits and blackheads, but it can make your skin more oily. This can offset the treatment that you are receiving, and make it so that you aren't seeing the results that you would like.
If you feel that you have to wear face makeup during this time, then find products that are gentle on your skin, and made specifically for those who suffer from acne. These products won't contain some of the harsh ingredients that other face makeups contain. However, you will still need to be sure that you remove this face makeup as soon as possible.
